BTEC qualifications can be undertaken in a number of subjects including Information Technology, Business and Engineering. They are equivalent to GCSEs (levels 1 to 2), A-levels (level 3) and university degrees (levels 4 to 6). The reason BTECs may appeal to you is that they are based on practical work or coursework rather than timed exams which is great if you find that you really don’t perform well in exam situations. But don’t be fooled - being assessed on coursework alone doesn’t involve doing less work! It just means that the work is spread over a longer period of time which means being able to manage your time effectively and getting organised.
