- What made you decide to take the Diploma in IT?
The vast array of topics covered by the Diploma. If the Diploma wasn’t offered, I can’t really imagine what subjects I would be studying at College now!
- What is your favourite thing about the Diploma in IT?
I think probably the opportunities being a “pioneering” student of the Diploma I’ve had to meet with employers, go to Microsoft, attend the Digital Talent conference etc has all been good fun and there’s still lots more to come!
- Do you feel studying a Diploma in IT has better prepared you for your future? If so why?
Yes because it has given me lots of industry connections... CSC, Microsoft, BA, IBM, e-skills... lots of connections with the industry, which I wouldn’t have had if I had taken any other IT course.
- Would you recommend studying a Diploma in IT to friends? and why?
If they were all serious about getting careers in the IT/management industry and weren’t afraid of a little commitment, then yes!
- After studying the Diploma in IT, where do you think it will take you? i.e. to university, to do an Apprenticeship etc
I hope to study IT further to degree level at University in the UK or Australia.
- What is your favourite thing about technology or your favourite piece of technology? Let us know why.
I don’t have a favourite thing about technology, but I really like the idea of Microsoft Surface and PhotoSynth. It really shows how technology is advancing and becoming more common-sense enabled over recent years.
