The role requires a thought leader on leading edge, complex technologies in the Broadband Applications and Services field. Leadership in the research field, influencing research direction, and delivering research which has an impact within BT and externally. The role has extensive programme and project management expertise, with a thorough understanding of business strategy and goals.

WORK EXPERIENCE:

• HND Software Engineering
• BSc(hons.) Software Engineering
• PhD Computer Science
• Chartered Engineer (Member of the Institute of Engineering and Technology)

SKILLS REQUIRED:

• Vision and foresight
• Communications (interpersonal)
• Leadership
• Communications (verbal and written)
• Solid technical knowledge of IP networking, broadband and home networking
• Software design and programming.(low level C and C++)
• Project management
