  • Studied A Levels in English Language, Ancient History, Classics and History
  • Then studied Information Studies and Librarianship at Birmingham Polytechnic

WORK EXPERIENCE:

  • First job as a librarian at a secondary school
  • Taught herself HTML as became interested in computers at the library job   

SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Have confidence in your own ability - even if you haven't been formally taught IT skills
  • Enthusiasm
  • Be multi-skilled and have the ability to keep learning and gain new skills
