Head of Tate Photography

JOB TITLE: Head of Tate Photography

  • Manage and oversee all photographic services for the Tate
  • Record, digitise and make accessible the Tate’s collection of art 
  • Provide support for the exhibitions and displays on each of the Tate sites
  • Manage a staff of 10 and other resources to meet all of the gallery demands
  • Advise the Tate regarding feasibility of photographic requirements including specific projects
  • Plan, budget, research and develop techniques and solutions for the future
  • Responsibility for the budget

RELATED DEGREE:

Photography BA & MA

WORK EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of 10 years professional photographic experience
  • Minimum of 5 years working in a managerial capacity

SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Communication skills at all levels
  • Fine art photography
  • Project planning
  • Staff management
  • Financial control
