JOB TITLE: Tate Kids Editor

• This involves leading the development of the new site, including project management, producing, overseeing and quality controlling all content on Tate Kids including the very popular Art Sparks animated series and Street Art game
• Commission multimedia content and brief designers on the creation of material
• Collaborate with artists and curators to produce new content
• Write, update, moderate and edit content
• Track and analyse statistical data related to the site
• Develop and maintain suitable partnerships for the development and distribution of materials

RELATED DEGREE:

• MA in Media Culture and Communication at the Institute of Education
• BA in English and Media Studies

WORK EXPERIENCE:

• TV and Radio Editor on Student newspaper
• News writing for a political website
• Writing entries for the Virgin Alternative Guide to British Universities
• Publications and Brand Assistant at Sussex University
• e-learning Designer
• Account Manager at an Educational Communications agency
• Freelance children’s content creation work

SKILLS REQURIED

• Experience of commissioning and editing online projects for children
• Ability to think creatively and innovatively
• Knowledge of HTML, XML, Flash and Photoshop
• Confident communication skills
• Honed and audience-specific writing ability
• Ability to work independently and in a team
