TITLE: Senior Development Director, Bright Light Studio
I play an awful lot of video games on the job, the game I'm making at that moment, a game related to the game I'm making or even a game I'm thinking about making.
I review my team's work, see what they're doing at that moment, answer their questions about the work, and decide upon next steps. I also spend quite a bit of time with my team focusing on their careers and making sure they have the opportunity to grow.
WORK EXPERIENCE:
I started working with computers and technology during my summer holidays while I was at university and have been working in the industry ever since. I've worked in a range of different roles, starting off in software engineering and eventually progressing into a more managerial role before ending up here at EA.
SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Understand what it is that you like about video games, what aspects you think are good and bad, so that you can understand what makes a quality video game experience
- Know what aspects of the video games industry you like or are interested in and go for it.

CAREER GOALS:
I would like to make more games, espicially games for women. I'd like to gain more owernersip of the creative direction within the game development process and I am also very interested in how games are marketed.
