Zoe Mode Games

The company makes games which are accessible and fun for everybody – simple, social and which don’t take themselves too seriously.

Zoe Mode, Gaming Compny, logo,Previously named Kuju Brighton, Zoe Mode is the result of a company-wide rebranding mission to give each studio it’s own unique identity that reflects the types of games they produce.

Zoë Mode makes games such as Dancing With The Stars™ and You're in the Movies. It has a simple ethos that games are powerful ways of bringing people together and having fun; that there’s more to life than gaming, but that gaming can make life better; and there is a game for everyone.

Zoemode, dancing with the stars, gaming companyDancing With The Stars™ features 10 different dancing styles for the player to master, from the Cha Cha, Mambo and Rumba to the Foxtrot and Waltz. Each dance style provides a unique challenge for the player, and in the two-player game, their partner.

Or perhaps acting is more your thing. You're in the Movies “brings the cool factor to kitsch as you live out your dreams of becoming a scream queen, zombie, or kung fu fighter” according to its makers, Zoë Mode. Premiering exclusively on Xbox 360®, “It's the first and only game of its kind to transport players into a magical world of cinema mixed with the hilarious world of improvisation”.

Behind the scenes...

Zoe Mode, you're in the movies, games company, developmentJim Hatley, a freelance writer, recently spent an afternoon strolling round Zoë Mode’s offices in Brighton and posted his findings and ruminations on www.geek.com. He started off in “The Lab” where 6 guys were sitting round having what seemed like a great deal of fun with desks piled high with board games, consoles, computers and lego blocks! These guys provide the central source of new concepts, develop an idea and produce a basic sample version of the design.

He then made his way to the design department where the Agile method of development is used. This is a system which breaks down the process into smaller bite sized chunks making it easier for everybody to stay involved and for large projects to be managed easily. Then on to the music department where he was wowed by a new recording studio, consisting of a recording room, a stereo mixing room and a surround sound mixing room.

Jim Hatley was seriously impressed by what he found.
